My name is Mr. Shawn Mangum and I am the director of the bands and orchestras at the new Herriman High. I am very excited for a wonderful beginning with you. We will be working hard and achieving great things together. Until school starts this blog will be the quickest and easiest way of communicating with you, so come back often. Auditions

Auditions for orchestra, symphonic band and jazz band are coming up soon. The dates are below.

March 14, 3-4 @ South Hills
March 16, 3-5 @ Elk Ridge
March 17, 3-6 @ Ft. Herriman
March 21, 3-6 @ Herriman High

If the audition date at your school does not work, please e-mail me for a time on the 21st.

You should be prepared to play all 12 major scales and a solo, excerpt or etude that shows off how well you play. There will also be a short sight reading segment as well.
