My name is Mr. Shawn Mangum and I am the director of the bands and orchestras at the new Herriman High. I am very excited for a wonderful beginning with you. Music family meeting

I want to let you all know that I am planning on having a meeting in May to introduce myself and my plan for the instrumental music program at Herriman High. We will discuss goals for the ensembles, including the concert bands and orchestra as well as jazz and marching band.

I want to invite all students that are planning on participating in any of the instrumental ensembles to come along with their parents to discuss what we will be doing. The date, time and location are not yet determined, I just wanted to throw the idea out there so you can be expecting it. I hope to have the details nailed down by next week.
